Māpuna Kabinet Art Gallery
A place where creativity flows
Māpuna Kabinet Art Gallery is the contemporary art space within Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom. Dedicated to showcasing local, national, and international artists, the gallery offers a dynamic programme of exhibitions that celebrate creativity, culture, and community.
About the Gallery
Māpuna Kabinet provides a professional, light-filled space where art can be experienced up close. Exhibitions change regularly, offering fresh perspectives and new stories with each visit.
The gallery is a shared space - exhibitions rotate between Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom’s partners: Horowhenua District Council, Oranjehof Dutch Connection Centre, and Piriharakeke Generation Inspiration Centre. Together, they provide a rich mix of cultural expression, heritage, and contemporary creativity.

Māpuna Art Gallery is free to visit and open during Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom opening hours. Each exhibition brings something new - from painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media, through to collaborative and community art projects.
