Kotahi Tonu Wairua o Nga Mea Katoa

Kotahi tonu te wairua o ngā mea katoa is a group exhibition presented by the Te Awahou Collective, exploring the seen and unseen ways we are connected and the power held in the spaces between us.

Brought together by the Collective's founder Albert McCarthy (Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Te Arawa, European, Polynesian), the exhibition features around 20 artists working across traditional and contemporary practice, Māori and European. Among them are artists with deep roots in Horowhenua, alongside others who have come to Aotearoa from further afield.

The works span painting, sculpture, carving, weaving, photography, illustration and digital art.

Each piece offers its own perspective on the ways we are woven together, to the taiao, to the people around us, and to ourselves. The exhibition invites you to step out of the analytical mind, release the need to make sense of the work, and simply be present with what arises.

Nau mai, haere mai. All are welcome.
