We are here to assist with either starting or continuing your research. We have a number of online resources that can help you get started to compile your family tree or local history.

DigitialNZ is designed to help make New Zealand digital content easy to find, share, and use. Search across more than 25 million digital items of data for your research projects.

Cemetery Records

An online cemetery search is available to locate burial records of people buried in cemeteries within the Horowhenua District. Information for this search function is retrieved and managed by Council.

Kete Horowhenua

Kete Horowhenua is a knowledge basket of images, audio, video and documents regarding Horowhenua, New Zealand. The medias are collected and catalogued by the community. Access Kete Horowhenua here!

Event postponed
This event is being postponed to 30 June due to the current weather conditions which is causing flooding of the Manawatu river mouth. This does not directly affect the chosen bonfire site. However the access route the vehicles use maybe unstable and boggy.
