The Big Dutch Day Out

The Big Dutch Day Out.

The Big Dutch Day Out at Te Awahou Riverside Cultural Park Foxton is the celebration of the De Molen, Foxtons Windmill 16th birthday coinciding with the Dutch King, and of course, everything Dutch.

There will be a food tent offering Dutch favourites. Traditional Dutch games will be set up and ready to play and free face painting for the kids.

Dress in orange competition

Again there will be a dress in orange competition, and we loved it so much we're doing it again. Go all out in orange! There will be prizes for the best orange dressed adult and child. Spot prizes will be given throughout the day.

Kids drawing competition

The kids drawing competition is on again this year as well as we had such incredible entries last year. Once again we have invited the local schools and early childcare to participate. The theme is to create a poster advertising Foxton as a tourist destination, including de Molen of course!

Entrys are to be delivered to de Molen, 96a Main Street, Foxton by Friday 12th April 2019 by 3pm.
We will have the winning entries on display on The Big Dutch Day Out.
